A High Fashion Home product was recently included in the April issue of Country Living!! We are so excited that they chose one of our items and just wanted to share it!! : )

In this month's issue of Real Simple, the incomparable Faux Malachite Jewelry Box is a featured item.  This is the 2nd time that our favorite green box was highlighted in a major magazine.  The 1st being in the August 2009 issue of Oprah.  All I can say is, "I love Real Simple and I love Oprah!"

I'm very excited about this up and coming fashion designer from down under. Dion Lee, who comes to us from Sydney, Australia, is making waves in the fashion world and from the looks of it I can see why. I discovered him via Zimbio and StreetPeeper while doing my regular surfing of the net and I'm definitely loving his aesthetic!

High Fashion Home was mentioned in the May 2010 issue of Food Network magazine.  The Melamine Trays have been a big hit since the issue hit the newsstands.  This high concept gift makes for a wonderful Mother's Day present and comes in a Champagne, Tea, and Breakfast theme. 

My dear friends at Harper's Bazaar have given us a treat in their latest April issue! They have taken us into the home of American Idol producer Simon Fuller and wife, Natalie Fuller. Their rebuilt 1920s home, located in Beverly Hills, is elegant and classic with 1940s and 50s pieces that are made very chic and modern with textiles.

It was like play a game of "Where's Waldo?", but we finally tracked down the Porter Floor Lamp in the latest February 2010 issue of Lonny Magazine. In the talented Ryan Korban's own Manhattan studio, the Porter Floor Lamp sits inconspicuously in the corner. If you haven't checked out Lonny Magazine, please do. It is by some of the same folks that brought us our once beloved Domino Magazine.

Are you busy the night of May 23rd? Well, cancel your plans because I've got something better. Our incredibly talented store displayer (and my very good friend), Cynthia Bogart is making her solo debut, entitled Hey You, at Laszlo's Warehouse, featuring her newest works on paper. If the above flyer hasn't sold you on how amazing her paintings will be, then perhaps it's best that you see them in person. It's going to be an amazing opening!

The Real World: Hollywood just premiered a few weeks ago. The show is typically all about drinking, fighting, regretful hookups, jealousy, backstabbing, cavorting, and a whole lot of family therapy. Now you can throw in eco-friendly trend-setter.

In a groundbreaking initiative for MTV, this new season will go "green" and introduce their young viewers ways in which they can incorporate environmentally-friendly household items and make eco-friendly lifestyle choices, as seen on "The Real World" into their everyday lives. 

"The Real World" house will include everything from solar energy solutions to bamboo flooring, recycled glass counters, some sustainable furniture and recycled vintage decor, energy star appliances, a solar heated swimming pool and energy efficient lighting.


MTV worked with a wide range of environmentally-friendly manufacturers, including Environment Furniture. The Santomer Bed, shown above, uses reclaimed Peroba wood from old barns, house, and bridges in Brazil. It's furniture that sets the standard for aspirational interior design with an eco-friendly twist. You can also check out some of their other great, eco-friendly furniture products such as the Santomer Dining Table, Laurel Dining Table, Santos Dining Table, and Santos Coffee Table.


MTV is also allowing fans to interact in a Sims-like fashion with the Virtual Real World. In the Virtual Real World users can create their own avatars to learn about environmental facts, create eco-friendly virtual clothing and share stories about what they've done to better the environment.

Domino decided to showcase on their website this retro, high design chair from Global Views! We only have one small problem. The chair is so new, we don't even have it on our floors yet. Rest assured, the chair is on order. But feel free to admire the above photo until it comes in.

These Green Plates have been around since 2005. Three years later, they are still one of the hottest home accessory items around. The pictures shown above are from Season 4 of The Apprentice.
