The Santorini home of hotelier, Costis Psychas, is about as perfect as I can imagine. First, it is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, Greece. Second, it has a history; it used to be the warehouse for  a pumice mining operation that was on the Santorini Island and part of it used to be under water. Third, the inside is so beautifully simple and cozy (also, I'm a sucker for the rounded ceilings and arches). A lot of love went into the restoration and renovation of this space. Fourth, did I mention it was on a Greek island? OH! And the bathtub?!? Oh yes. : )

I don't think that many of us would include an old cement factory on our list of places we would want to make our home. That being said, you may change your mind after seeing this one. Spanish architect, Ricardo Bofill, was so inspired by one ex-cement factory that he decided to turn it into his home and offices. Have a look ----
