My Grown-Up Easter Basket
7:30 AM
My, my, my... Is it already Easter time? Where is this year going? Before you know it, I'll be writing about everything summer!
Easter is one of my favorite times of year. It always seems like an appropriate time for new beginnings. Everything is bright and new. I have an excuse to buy a pretty new dress. Not to mention Easter baskets- always a good thing to wake up to as a kid. Alas, I'm too old for Easter baskets these days (I doubt my mom will get up early to leave one on the doorstep of my apartment), but that doesn't mean I can't dream. If I were going to stock my very own Easter basket these days, here's what I would fill it with...
Row One: J. Crew Fringed Linen Scarf in natural (the perfect summer scarf!), $49.50; UK Flag NotecardsTree of Life Necklace from MadeByGirl (because I love sending little notes from time to time), $11 for four; from Anthropologie (I fell in LOVE with this!), $58.
Row Two: Tarte Natural Beauty Cheek Stain at Sephora (because I prefer to fake my sun exposure), $28; Lady Gaga: The Fame at Borders (her songs always get me pumped to start the day), about $13; Kate Spade Jane Street Debra Organizer in Chocolate/Pink (because life is so much better when it's organized!), $165.
Row Three: Godiva Cherry Cordials (I had to have something sweet! It's an Easter Basket!), $10 for nine; Victorian Antique Gold Rose Filigree Ring from edmdesigns on Etsy (AMAZING and made from vintage watch parts), $65; Nine West Snooks Heels in Ivory Natural Leather (A little bit bondage with a little bit sweet), $89.
Row Four: Coach S Charm (so everybody knows who's keys those are), $30; Eveline Tarunadjaja Wallet from Poketo (we just got these in the store and I want one!), $20; Tory Burch Straw Saddle Jane Tote in Natural/Hibiscus Pink (because I need something to use as a basket), $365.
