There are lots of places to run in this vast city called Houston. One of my favorites is Allen Parkway with it trees and parks and the Gus S. Wortham Memorial Fountain (aka The Dandelion Fountain). It's not hard to figure out why I like this fountain so much. It's hot, running gets sweaty, and this thing sprays a fine mist of water on me and fellow runners.
So, I was very pleased to find this little treasure on our second floor:
Appropriately named the Texas Dandelion Sculpture, it's a pleasant reminder of long Sunday runs and it looks fantastic on a sideboard. The only caveat is getting it to spray water on me like the real thing does. A girl can dream, eh?
