I don't think you have to be a fan of The Lord of the Rings to appreciate this house. It was designed and constructed by Simon Dale and his father in law. From start to finish, the house took between 1000-1500 man hours and he only spent around $5000.00!! Simon and his family wanted to be close to nature and that they are. The house is literally in the side of a hill and uses as many natural materials as possible (Simon offers plans for the house through his website). Who wouldn't want a little Hobbit Hut? One house to rule them all!

I find these hand blown glass chandeliers, by Czech designer Rony Plesl, quite amazing but kinda creepy at the same time. I appreciate the delicate hand blown glass orbs and the exactness of their arrangement creating an very eye-catching chandelier but I also half expect all of them to crack open and hatch some otherworldly creature. They are fascinating for sure!

Well, if you thought this was gonna be a post about the band, The Doors, sorry to disappoint you. But keep reading anyway. : ) The doors that I am referring to are the ones that we open, walk through and close everyday. I have always loved how a door can completely change the look and feel of a room or how they can be used in other ways. I have found some great pictures where people have gotten very creative with their doors. All inspiring looks.

This beautiful mid-century style home lives in the Hollywood Hills and is referred to as The Tree House because it sits amongst lush Sycamore treetops. It was once owned by Ellen and also the late Heath Ledger. It is an incredible house and is actually for sale right now.... if you have $3 million and want a home in LA, it could be yours.

Rachel Zoe is the tremendously sought after stylist to the stars and star of the hit Bravo show, The Rachel Zoe Project. On the latest show they had the big reveal of Rachel and Rodger's newly decorated new house. The house looks spectacular and interior designer, Jeremiah Brent, had only 2 weeks to pull it all together. Beautiful.
